The official CBP ROAM App (formerly OARS) from U.S. Customs and Border Protection provides a convenient solution for pleasure boaters and eligible travelers who arrive at remote locations, allowing them to report their arrival online. Pleasure boaters who are not currently enrolled in a Trusted Traveler Program, Local Boater Option, or I-68 program and are required to report in person can potentially benefit from a video inspection option.
Please note that this is a pilot version intended for use in limited areas. For specific guidance, it is recommended to contact your local Port of Entry.
To get started, you can easily create a trip by adding travelers, specifying your mode of travel, entering your location details, and providing contact information.
Once you have submitted your trip details, you may receive a push notification on your device prompting you to initiate a video chat with a CBP Officer to complete the reporting process for your entry into the United States.
